» I am trying to trace my grandmothers maiden name on my mothers side.
» My Grandmother was Sarah Ann Marland (born 1892)married to Harry Marland
» (born 1888)who was my grandfather.
» My mother was Edith Mary Marland (born 1917).
» My grandfather had a sister named Alice Ruth Marland who had a son out of
» wedlock named Charles Marland who was brought up by my grandmother.
» I believe her maiden name could have been Sarah Ann Riley, but without her
» birthplace I am having trouble proving it.
» They lived at 1 Albert Terrace, New Mills where I remember staying in my
» early childhood.

Hello there
Harry Marland married Sarah A Riley 20 Nov 1915 in St John the Evangelist Hurst. Her father is given as John Thomas Riley. I dont have any more information on her than that.Possiblysearching the 1901 and 1911 census may come up with more info
