Marland in Brazil

Hello Cathy and Geoff

Following the links provided by this great website I found a lot of useful informations about my ancestors.

My grandparents WILLIAM ALBERT MARLAND and BEATRICE LOTTIE(FOX) MARLAND came to Brazil between 1920 - 1930 and lived in several cities in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais while he was working for Canadian “ Light & Power Company” building Power Stations with other english workers.

My history :

JOHN MARLAND (b.1814-Lancashire) married Amelia Marland (b.1816) and they had a son named JAMES and three other children named Ann, Ben and Thos(?).

JAMES MARLAND (b.dec/1839-Lancashire) married his first wife Martha Marland (b.1840-Lancashire) and they had a son named ALBERT and a daughter named Sarah L.
He had three other children with his second wife Elizabeth Marland (b.1842-Gloucestershire) named Edward James, Alice Emily and Sidney Bolton.

ALBERT MARLAND(b.1863-Lancashire) married Mary Ann (Leavesley) Marland (b.1863- Warwickshire) and they had a son named WILLIAM ALBERT and two other children named Gladys Elizabeth and James Crowther.

WILLIAM ALBERT MARLAND (b.apr/1894-Cannock-Staffordshire) married Beatrice Lottie(Fox) Marland (b.1901- Dorset West Knighton) and they had a daughter named PATRICIA (my mother), two english children named Beryl and Sidney and two brazilian children named Leslie Paul and Grace Mary.

PATRICIA MARLAND(b. oct/1935-São Paulo-Brazil) married Pedro Galev and they had ME (yes, my mother and I have the same name!!!) and three other children named Sandra Beatriz, William Jorge and Sergio.

THIS IS ME:
PATRICIA MARLAND GALEV GONÇALVES(b.feb/1953-São Paulo-Brazil)married Carlos Andre Gonçalves (b.mar/1952-São Paulo-Brazil) and we have a son named Carlos Eduardo Marland Gonçalves and a daughter named Priscilla Marland Gonçalves.

My husband and me knew each other because of Beatlemania.
We still are fans (I was a crazy fan) of the fab four and their fantastic music. After THE BEATLES disbanded we decided that our dream would never be over.

I am also searching for some informations about FOX family because this is the surname of my grandmother Beatrice Lottie (Fox) Marland.

Beatrice Lottie Fox was the third daughter of George William Fox(b.1866-Hedingham) and Charlotte (Dunford) Fox (b.1872-Dorset) and she had two sisters named Grace (b.1895-Dorchester) and Eva (b.1899- Dorchester).

How can I upload scanned photographs or documents in this wonderful forum to share them with the Marland community?
